History

The East Point Track Club was created in 1997 as a southeast regional velodrome racing team to represent the Dick Lane Velodrome at the United States National Track Championships. Besides racing all kinds of bicycles the East Point Track Club has become an integral part of the United States’s cycling ecosystem. Promoting and officiating safe rides and races. Providing manpower and know how to create road race, criterium, mountain bike, and cyclocross courses. Sponsoring other velodromes and assisting with programing, while having fun riding, racing and sharing our experience’s.

Mission

To raise awareness of bicycling in our local communities and to promote cycling as a healthy and enjoyable way of life—by offering camaraderie, support and development to all levels and types of bicycle rider.

Membership

Fun fact: You don’t need to be a track racer to be a part of the East Point Track Club. The truth is that you don’t need to be a cyclist at all! We’re looking for a little of everything, and while racing at the velodrome is our bread and butter – our home turf – we like any and all types of riding and social activities. In fact, well… pretty sure… we put on more cycling events and parties than any other Southeast club; Track, Cyclocross, Criteriums, Road Races, Time Trials, Fondos, Gravel Grinders, and, coming soon, Mountain Bike Races.

We’re putting the band back together and creating a proper cycling club. A club that helps our cycling team. A team that helps our club. And friends who help each other. We love to ride, we love to race, and we love to drink (be social).

Interested in being on the race team?
From Cat. 1 to Cat 5, we have options for you.

Interested in being a part of a club (riders and non)?
Group and social rides, social activities, volunteering – young and not so young – we have options for that too.
